About The Local Brokerage
We built The Local Brokerage around helping people find the property, and the agent, that fits what they need.
People come to us for different reasons. Some are buying their first home. Others are looking for an investment, more room, or less upkeep. Some want land or a place for their horses.
Matching Homes With Lifestyles®
Chris came up with Matching Homes With Lifestyles® while thinking about what we actually do as real estate professionals. Everyone is on their own path. What works for one person may not work for another. Our job is to understand what someone is looking for and help them make a move that makes sense for their life.
Chris registered the phrase with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office himself.
The same approach with our agents
Our agents have different interests, specialties, and goals for their businesses. We provide brokerage support and tools while helping them build a name and reputation of their own.
Where we work
The Local Brokerage opened as a brokerage in June 2026. Our office is at 1635 River Valley Circle South in Lancaster. Today, we serve clients in Central Ohio. As we grow into other areas, we want clients to have the same connection with an agent who understands what they are looking for and knows the area they serve.
Christopher Heilman started selling homes in Central Ohio in July 2016, led The Heilman Group, and earned his broker license in 2023. History line. Chris to confirm
Your brokerage identity is provided. Your business identity is yours.
The Local Brokerage provides every agent with a professional brokerage email and business workspace. Agents can also build their sales identity around a domain they own, so the brand equity they create belongs to them.
The Village Mountain Mission.
Back in 2017, a friend asked Chris on a whim if he wanted to go with him to the Dominican Republic. He said yes without knowing what he was getting into. He has been back three times since, and now serves on the board of The Village Mountain Mission, a Lancaster nonprofit bringing help, hope, and love to villages there.
Seeing how people live there, and coming home to everything we enjoy here, is a humbling experience. If it is something you would like to live, even once, or if you can volunteer or give, we would love to introduce you.
Ready when you are.
Tell us what you have in mind. We will connect you with an agent who can help, whether you are ready to get started or still have a few questions.
